When you buy a rod off the rack from your local tackle store, that rod was mass produced. The guides are randomly placed on the blank during production. When buying this type of rod, you are not getting the full action, sensitivity, and feel of the blank. All blanks have a spine (backbone of the rod) and the guides should be placed in the right positions on the right side of the rod to get the most out of the blank.

When I build a Custom Rod for you, the guides will be placed in the proper positions to give you more action and sensitivity, and you will have a much better feel of the rod in your hand. You will also feel a difference when casting, achieving longer cast with less effort. When you catch the fish of a lifetime, the rod will do the work for you.

Cost of new rods

Due to the fact that a custom rod is designed to the person's specifications price can vary depending upon your request.
I use the highest of quality rod blanks (St.Croix) or can use others of your choice. Like the blank I use high quality accessories for finishing rods. I am able to customize the rod by using symbols from your favorite sports team, fish, or flowers for the women. Using this technique to customize your rod along with adding a small butt wrapping design allows me to keep your cost to a minimum, with Bass Rods starting around $125.00 plus shipping.
